Illinois Municipal Commits $125M to Private Equity

The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) has approved up to $125 million in commitments to private equity in their February Board Meeting. 

The board approved the commitment of up to $75 million to Sterling Group Partners VI. 

The Retirement Fund has previously invested in Sterling funds totalling $147.5 million in aggregate commitments. 

Additionally, a $50 million commitment was approved for Clearlake Capital Partners VIII. IMRF has previously invested $396.9 million to Clearlake funds.

As of January 31, the Retirement Fund was valued at $52.3 billion.
