New York Common Discloses $1.9B in New Commitments

New York State Common Retirement Fund has disclosed $1.9 billion in new commitments in their January 2023 transaction report.
$1 billion was allocated to the BlackRock MSCI Climate Change Index.
$350 million was committed to Patient Square Equity Partners. In addition, $350 million was committed to PSC EP Discretionary Co-Invest III. Patient Square invests in growth-oriented companies in the healthcare sector.
$200 million was committed to value-add real estate fund, Artemis Real Estate Partners Fund IV.
Within the Retirement Fund’s Emerging Manager PRogram, $15 million was committed to Raith Real Estate Fund III.The fund focuses on debt and equity investments.
Also disclosed in the report was the termination of long-only alpha manager ValueAct Capital Partners II. The account was valued at approximately $182 million at time of termination.
