NY State Teachers Allocates $300M to Fixed Income Portfolio

The New York State Teachers Retirement System has committed $300 million to its fixed-income portfolio at the April 27 board meeting.

BlackRock and PIMCO were hired to manage a Global Carbon Transition Bond Portfolio fixed income mandate benchmarked to the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Corporate Bond Index.

Initial funding includes up to $150 million to each manager.
