Washington State Commits $300M to VC, Private Credit

The Washington State Investment Board has disclosed two investments in venture capital and private credit totaling $300 million, according to materials from the February 15th Board meeting. 

In venture capital, $200 million was committed to General Catalyst XII. 

And in private credit, $100 million was committed to Blue Torch Credit Opportunities Unlevered Fund III. This is a new relationship for the WSIB. 

Consultant, Albourne assisted with the recommendations.

WSIB invests for 39 funds including 18 Retirement Funds, 5 State Insurance Funds, 7 Permanent Funds, and 9 Other Funds.
