Written by: Helen Bascom, Marketing Associate

The Boston Retirement System has issued an RFP for private real estate managers.

The mandate would be for up to $75 million in commitments across value-add and opportunistic closed end funds that are raising at least $200 million, although lower amounts will also be considered.

Proposals are due on Tuesday, April 2nd by 3:00PM EDT.

Investment consultant, NEPC, is assisting with the search.

As of September 30, 2023, the $6.8 billion pension fund allocates approximately 10.1% to real estate with a target of 10%.
