Illinois TRS Commits $1.175B to Alts, Equities

The Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois disclosed 10 commitments totaling $1.175 billion according to a recent press release.

Within private equity, $200 million was allocated to New Mountain Partners VII, $125 million to Altaris Health Partners VI , $200 million to NGP Natural Resources XIII, $60 million to Bregal Unternehmerkapital IV-A, $50 million to Elephant Partners V, $100 million to Aurora Equity Partners VII, $75 million to PSG VI, and $40 million to Altaris VI T-Co-invest.

In public equity, $225 million was committed to Driehaus Capital Management and $100 million to RWC Asset Advisors. 

As of September 30, 2023, the $67 billion pension fund has allocated $11.3 billion to private equity and $23 billion to public equity.
