Fairfax County Educational Employees’ Commits $10M to Real Estate Fund

The Fairfax County Educational Employees’ Supplementary Retirement System has committed $10.8 million to the Bershkshire Value Fund V Journey Co-Investment fund.

The real estate fund, managed by the Berkshire Group, is part of Project Journey, a co-investment portfolio comprised of 23 assets across 13 Sun Belt markets.

Consultant, Meketa, assisted with due diligence.

As of August 31, 2022, the $3 billion retirement system has an actual and target allocation to real estate of 8.8% and 6% respectively.
