Houston Firefighters’ Allocates $100M Across Real Estate and Private Equity

The Houston Firefighters’ Relief and Retirement Fund has approved $100 million in commitments split between two alternative funds, as disclosed in meeting minutes from the August 16 board meeting.

$50 million was committed to value-add real estate fund, EQT Exeter Industrial Value Fund VI.

In addition, $50 million was committed to private equity buyout fund, Thoma Bravo Discover Fund IV.

As of June 30, 2021, the Retirement Fund allocates approximately 5% to real estate and 32% to private equity.
