Illinois SURS Replaces SMID Cap Manager with Fiera Capital

The State Universities Retirement System of Illinois has selected Fiera Capital Small-Mid Cap Growth fund for both the SURS Retirement Savings Plan and the SURS Deferred Compensation Plan.

The Fiera Capital strategy replaces the Delaware Small-Mid Cap Growth R6 fund.

Also disclosed was a 2% increase in the target allocation to the Principal Protection asset class from 8% to 10%. The Crisis Risk Offset target was reduced to 17%. Illinois SURS’ Principal Protection investment managers include Garcia Hamilton, LM Capital, Pugh Capital, and Ramirez Asset Management.
