LA Fire & Police Commits $60M to Private Equity

The Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System has approved two private equity investments totaling up to $60 million.

$10 million was committed to Renegade Partners II, a venture capital fund managed by Renegade Partners based out of San Francisco.

Additionally, $50 million was committed to the buyout fund, MPE Partners IV, managed by MPE Partners based out of Boston.

As of March 31, 2023, the $29 billion pension system had an actual and target allocation to private equity of 17.1% and 14% respectively.
