The Los Angeles Police & Fire Pension System recently reviewed the 2024 private equity commitment pacing plan.

In a presentation from private equity consultant Portfolio Advisors, it was recommended that the Plan target $800 million of commitments for the year.

Of the $800 million, $400 million is being targeted to buyouts strategies, $200 million is aimed at venture capital/growth funds, and $200 million will be reserved for special situations strategies.

As of December 31, 2023 the $30.75 billion pension fund allocates approximately 17.1% to private equity exposure with a target allocation of 15%.
