Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System Commits $65M to Private Equity

The Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System has made commitments totaling $65 million across two private equity funds at the August 4th board meeting.

$50 million was committed to Blue Sea Capital III fund. In addition, $15 million was committed to CenterGate II. Both are buyout funds focused on the lower-middle market.

As of September 30, 2022, the $27 billion pension fund allocates approximately 18% to private equity.
