Louisiana TRS Commits $225M to Private Credit, Private Equity

The Teachers Retirement System of Louisiana disclosed two recent commitments to alternatives totaling $225 million. 

In private credit, $125 million was committed to KSL Capital Partners Tactical Opportunities Fund II. And in private equity, $100 million was committed to Clearlake Capital Partners VIII. 

As of August 31, 2023, the $24 billion pension fund has allocated approximately 23% of its holdings to private equity with a target allocation of 19% and approximately 8% to private credit with a target allocation of 9%.
