Maine PERS Commits $75M to Real Estate, Private Equity

The Maine Public Employees’ Retirement System has approved two commitments totalling $75 million to real estate and private equity according to meeting notes from the December 14th board meeting. 

In real estate, $35 million was allocated to Bain Capital Real Estate Fund III.

In private equity, $40 million was allocated to Wynnchurch Capital Partners VI. 

As of September 30, 2023, the $18.7 billion Retirement Fund has an actual and target allocation to real estate of 10.4% and 10% respectively. In private equity, the actual and target allocation is 19.5% and 12.5% respectively.
