North Carolina Retirement Systems Discloses New Investments

Three new investments were disclosed for the North Carolina Retirement System, as seen in a performance update from the August 24 Investment Advisory Committee meeting.

$102 million was committed to private equity fund, Hg Genesis 10. Hg Genesis 10 is a middle market buyout fund with a primary focus in Northern Europe.

Opportunistic real estate fund, Blackstone Real Estate Partners X, was awarded a $500 million commitment.

Lastly, $54 million was invested in the BlackRock World REIT fund.

As of June 30, 2022, the North Carolina Retirement System was valued at approximately $110 billion.
