Oklahoma Municipal Terminates SMID Growth Manager

Written by: Koncheng Moua, Director of Data Management and Strategy

The $1 billion Retirement Fund terminated its relationship with SMID Growth Manager, TimesSquare, recently released minutes from the May meeting show.

TimesSquare managed nearly $30 million as of March 31, 2022.

The Retirement Fund’s consultant, Asset Consulting Group, cites underperformance and personnel changes as a rationale for the termination. Tony Rosenthal, a founding partner and co-portfolio manager of the Small-Mid Growth and Small Cap Growth strategies, recently announced his upcoming retirement.

OkMRF and ACG will review potential replacement managers.
