Rhode Island State Pension Commits $30M to Private Equity

The Rhode Island State Pension has approved the commitment of $30 million to Wynnchurch Capital Partners VI.

Wynnchurch targets investments in industrial and manufacturing industries in North America.

Rhode Island Employees Retirement Systems previously committed $40 million to Wynnchurch Capital Partners V, L.P. 

Investment consultant, Cliffwater, assisted with the recommendation.

As of December 31, 2023, the $10.8 billion Pension Fund currently allocates approximately 16.7% to private equity with a target of 12.5%.
