Written by: Koncheng Moua, Director of Data Management and Strategy

The Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System has disclosed a $50 million commitment to Tudor BVI Global Fund, according to materials from the January 18 board meeting.

The hedge fund investment is the County’s first investment with Tudor Group.

Also disclosed in the meeting materials were two investment managers that were recently added to the Watch List. Sculptor Capital Management’s multi strategy fund and Third Point Partners absolute return fund were both placed on the Watch List effective January 2023. Materials cite performance concerns for Sculptor and overall portfolio construction concerns for Third Point Partners as reasons to monitor the managers.
