Seattle Invests $50M to Venture Capital, Infrastructure

Written by: Jane Bailey, Marketing Associate

The Seattle Employees’ Retirement System approved two commitments to venture capital and infrastructure funds according to minutes from their January 25, 2024 Investment Committee meeting.

$30 million was allocated to Horsley Bridge Venture 15 (“HB 15”), a venture capital strategy. HB 15 would be SCERS’ second investment with Horsley Bridge Partners.

$20 million was allocated to Stonepeak Infrastructure V LP (“Stonepeak V”), a core-plus strategy focused on North America. SCERS has previously invested in Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners with this being their fifth fund investment.

Investment consultant, NEPC supported both recommendations.
