STRS Ohio Commits $90M to Private Equity

The State Teachers’ Retirement System of Ohio has disclosed $90 million in private equity commitments between two funds. 

$50 million will be invested in Genstar Capital Partners XI. The Firm will target control investments in middle market companies primarily headquartered in North America.

$40 million will be invested in the growth equity fund, Summit Partners Europe Growth Equity Fund IV. 

These commitments bring STRS Ohio total private equity commitments to approximately $683 million. STRS Ohio targets commitments of $400 million to $1.2 billion to private equity funds during fiscal 2023.
