Texas County Commits $150M to Alternatives

The Texas County & District Retirement System has closed on two alternative investments totaling up to $150 million.

$75 million was allocated to private equity fund, H.I.G. Middle Market LBO Fund IV. The buyout fund is managed by H.I.G. Capital.

Opportunistic real estate fund managed by Pennybacker Capital, Pennybacker VI, was allocated a $75 million investment. 

The $41.6 billion Retirement System targets a 25% allocation to private equity and a 29% allocation to credit.
