Texas TRS Commits $300M to Alts

The Teachers Retirement System (TRS) of Texas disclosed 3 recent commitments in alternatives totaling $300 million.

Within real estate, $100 million was committed to Affinius Capital Partners VII-T and another $100 million was committed to Affinius Capital Partners VII-B. Additionally, in private equity, $100 million was committed to PSG VI.

As of March 31, 2023 the $185 billion pension fund had allocated approximately 17.3% to private equity and 16.5% to real estate.
