Texas TRS Commits $504M to Alts

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas has disclosed seven alternative investments totaling up to $504 million. 

Three private equity funds managed by Quantum Energy Partners received commitments. $100 million was committed to QEP VIII Co-Invest 1. $150 million was committed to Quantum Energy Partners VIII. And $25 million was committed to Quantum Energy Partners VIII Co-Investment Fund. 

$150 million was committed to NGP Natural Resources XIII, an energy focused private equity fund. 

$45 million was allocated to a co-investment private equity fund, Thoma Bravo Project CS Co-Invest Fund.

Greenbriary Coinvestment WPS fund received a $24 million commitment.

Lastly, $10 million was committed to Galaxy Interactive Fund II, a venture capital fund managed by Galaxy Digital Capital Management.
