University of Michigan Commits $170M to Alts

The University of Michigan Investments Office disclosed three alternative investments totaling $170 million.

In real assets, $75 million was committed to Peppertree Capital Management. Within venture capital, $15 million was committed to  MTB Capital I. And in private equity, €74 million (approximately $80M) was committed to Summa Equity.

As of December 31, 2023 the $18.6 billion pension fund allocates 26.1% to venture capital, 14% to private equity, and 24.2% to real assets.
