University of Michigan Commits $83.3M in Q2

The University of Michigan Investment Office has disclosed three alternative investments totaling $83.3 million, according to materials from the February 16, 2023 board meeting.

$40 million was committed to Hidden River Strategic Capital, a credit firm based in Philadelphia, PA. $40 million was also committed to Kian Capital Partners, a credit firm based in Charlotte, NC. 

In Private Equity, an additional $3.2 million was allocated to MHS Capital Partners, a venture capital firm based in San Francisco, CA. 

The University Endowment Fund was valued at $17.3 billion at June 30, 2022.
