Ventura County Commits $25M to Private Equity

The Ventura County Employees’ Retirement Association is committing $25 million to HarbourVest Partners Co-Investment Fund VII.

This represents an existing relationship for the fund. VCERA has previously invested in HarbourVest’s private equity strategies since 2013 including their secondary fund of funds, Dover Funds VIII, IX, X and XI respectively, and in HarbourVest’s Co-Investment Funds IV, V, and VI.

The $8 billion pension fund allocates approximately 17.9% to private equity with a target of 18% to the asset class.
