Illinois SURS Commits $50M to Infrastructure

The State Universities Retirement System of Illinois has approved the commitment of $50 million to the Ember Infrastructure Fund II, according to a press release from the December 8th Board Meeting.

$50 million was allocated to Ember Infrastructure Fund II. 

Ember Infrastructure currently manages approximately $12 million in SURS assets through a commitment to Ember Infrastructure Fund I.

As of October 31, 2023, the $22.6 billion Retirement Fund has an actual and target allocation to Stabilized Growth of 16.3% and 17% respectively. The Stabilized Growth asset class includes investments in Public Credit Fixed Income, Private Credit, Core Real Assets, and Options Strategies.
