LA Fire & Police Commits $90M to Private Equity

The Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System has closed on two private equity investments, according to meeting materials from the upcoming August 18 Board meeting. 

$75 million was committed to buyout fund, Wind Point Partners X. Wind Point Partners is based out of Chicago and focuses on acquiring middle market businesses.

$15 million was committed to buyout fund, Fort Point Small Cap Fund III. Fort Point is based out of Boston and focuses on service-oriented companies at the lower end of the middle market. 

As of June 30, 2022, the $28 billion Pension System has a 17.66% allocation to private equity managers. The investment policy targets 14% to private equity.
