Maine PERS Commits $25M to Private Equity

The Maine Public Employees’ Retirement System has approved the commitment of $25 million to the General Catalyst Group Fund XII. according to meeting minutes from the November 9th board meeting. 

General Catalyst focuses on early stage and growth equity investments in the consumer, enterprise, fintech, and health assurance industries.

As of September 30, 2023, the $18.7 billion Pension Fund has an actual and target allocation to private equity of 19.5% and 12.5% respectively.
