Chicago LABF Liquidates Nuveen Long-Short Credit

The Laborers’ and Retirement Board Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago has approved the full liquidation of the Nuveen Long-Short Credit Fund.

Meeting minutes cite liquidity needs and consolidating hedge fund managers as a reason for the liquidation.

The Nuveen account had a market value of approximately $28 million as of March 31, 2023.
