Pompano Beach Police and Firefighters’ Retirement Invests $5M to Equities

The Pompano Beach Police and Firefighters’ Retirement System approved moving $5 million from the Blackrock Large Cap Value portfolio to invest in the Vanguard 500 Stock Index Fund, according to minutes from the November 20th Board of Trustees meeting. 

Investment consultant, Southeastern Advisory assisted with the decision. 

As of September 30, 2023, the $232 million pension fund allocates 35.1% to domestic equities.
