San Mateo Invests $73M to Private Markets

The San Mateo County Employees’ Retirement Association approved two commitments totaling $73 million to private markets.

In private credit, $45 million was committed to Comvest Credit Partners VII and in private equity, $28 million was committed to Peak Rock Capital Fund IV. Both commitments represent new relationships for SamCERA. 

As of December 31, 2023, the $6.1 billion pension fund allocates approximately 6.6% of its portfolio to private equity and 2.5% to private credit.
