South Carolina Retirement System Commits $150M to Alts

The South Carolina Retirement System has disclosed two alternative investments totaling up to $150 million.

$75 million was allocated to Basalt Infrastructure Partners IV.

In addition, up to $75 million was committed to the real estate fund, Stockbridge Value Fund V. 

As of September 30, 2023, the $38 billion retirement system has an actual and target allocation to Real Assets of 14.9% and 12% respectively.
